From 1 to 8 December the third meeting of our Erasmus+ project “100 years after our future begins” took place.Together with our partners from the FDG in Frankfurt Höchst (Germany) and Özel Takev in Samsun (Turkey), we were received at the Ogolnoksztalcacych Gymnasium Number 2 in Bialystok, Poland. Before going there, we were able to visit the old town and the centre of Warsaw, but also Gdansk. The aim was to retrace the history of Solidarnosc and its struggle against the communist regime. The visit to the European Centre of Solidarity was an opportunity to reflect on dictatorship, freedom and solidarity, without forgetting Europe, themes that were addressed in our project.
In Bialystok, we were able to continue working on our project as a multinational group, but also to discover the history of the region, deeply marked by the Nazi policy of extermination of Jews during the Second World War, but also by the destruction and devastation, as well as the whole of Poland, caused by Nazi Germany and the Soviets during the same conflict. We were also welcomed by the municipality. A week rich in exchange and reflection for all the participants. Next meeting: From 12 to 18 May 2019 in Lille in our establishment.
